The rapid prototyping allows a reduction of design errors because it allows aesthetic and functional and immediate verification stages of studied product eliminating the risk of next changes to the equipment for the final production.
The utility to have physical models is also to fill the gap between perceptible abstractness of virtual models and the need for close and tactile comparison with the reality of the matter.
The prototypes are made with OBJET technology that allows an high accuracy (± 0.1) mm and the realization of ultrathin layers that provide a good surface finish suitable to be painted or metallized.
This finish and high accuracy allow to realize prototypes that can also be used as molds to molding other resins.
